Single Tank Mix for Pricklypear and Mesquite
Pasture Fence Rows, West Texas
One pass.
Spot spray along pasture fences.
Control pricklypear + mesquite without wrecking pasture grass.
Sendero backbone for mesquite foliar control.
Surmount brings strong pricklypear activity through picloram.
Remedy Ultra adds knockdown and improves mesquite reliability.
This combination works because:
Sendero handles foliar mesquite.
Surmount carries picloram, which is still the gold standard on pear.
Remedy helps on tougher mesquite and improves consistency.
You are stacking three different modes of action, which is why this mix works better than any single product alone.
Mesquite must be fully leafed out and actively growing.
Do not spray drought-stressed plants.
Best window is late spring through summer, after moisture.
Pear pads must be dry, no rain or dew.
If mesquite is shut down, this mix will disappoint. No way around that.
High-volume spot spray, not broadcast.
Sendero 1.75 pints per acre equivalent
Surmount 0.5 percent solution
Remedy Ultra 0.25 percent solution
This keeps picloram levels reasonable while still giving pear control.

Use coarse droplets. Coverage matters more than speed.
Mesquite: Wet the entire leaf canopy, top to bottom.
Pricklypear: Wet pads and joints thoroughly, no runoff.
Try to hit both sides of pear pads when possible.
This is not a “drive by” spray job.
Follow all label grazing restrictions.
Avoid overspray on desirable trees.
Picloram moves in soil, do not spray directly over roots of trees you want to keep.
Fence rows usually mean shallow roots nearby, so stay targeted.
Mesquite: Dieback shows next season, not next week.
Pricklypear: Slow decline. Evaluate at 12 to 36 months.
Some pear may require a second treatment later, that’s normal.
